The Chipotle Quesarito burrito is the Holy Grail of the Chipotle Secret Menu, and it's easy to see why it has become all the rage. The popularity of the monstrous Quesarito is due to the fact that it is a burrito in which the "shell" of the burrito is actually a Cheese Quesadilla. That's right, instead of using a plain flour tortilla like the unfortunate soul next to you, the Chipotle servers will start your Quesarito off with a quesadilla they make from sandwiching a heaping amount of cheese between two tortilla shells and heating it in the warmer while you wait. Once you have the quesadilla, the process is back to normal, just tell the server what items and meat you want inside your Quesarito burrito and they will wrap it up and check you out.
Without a doubt, eating the Chipotle Quesarito is a life changer. On each and every bite you will taste the delicious crunch on the grilled shell, followed quickly by the gooey Monterey Jack Cheese between the shells that encase the meat and fillings. But be warned, it is an extremely delicious and addictive burrito that will keep you coming back to Chipotle's secret menu.
Alternate Version: A variation on the above recipe for the Quesarito has also been appearing. For this alternate version, the servers will create the cheese quesadilla using only one shell and then open it back up. This creates a gooey cheese lining covering the entire inside of the shell and all of the burrito fillings placed on-top. While the single-shell version is delicious, be sure to tell the server you want the two-shell version if they start to fold your Quesarito in half.
